Unlock the full potential of DaVinci Resolve with a host of powerful plugins, including Red Giant effects and filters, NewBlue titling tools, ABSoft Neat Video for cleaning up grainy footage, Continuum & Sapphire effects and filters from Boris FX, beautiful film emulations from FilmConvert and many many more. The video preview bug in Fairlight page is still present, but a little different. I prefer to render a video and work all audio stuff in Pro Tools, especially that in Pro Tools (or any DAW) I can use simultaneously all of the inputs and outputs that any audio interface has. I could even use Vegas for a musical production without any problem (audio only, not midi).įairlight has improved a lot, but it's still far from being my first option. I also used Vegas for a long time, but I left it and now use Davinci for my videos. I'm a sound engineer who uses Pro Tools since version 4. I really like automation changes in the new version. Waves plugins work without problems in other software also (VST versions). All of the others VST plugins I have load and work without issues. In the mixer of Fairlight page you can even select the plugin but it doesn't load. In the list of plugins all Waves plugins are present. ![]() I've learned a lot by talking with the iZotope people and checking out their tutorials, which are often illuminating in terms of the order of operations and how to set different thresholds and levels within each process. The same bug with Waves plugins 11 on DR 17 (Windows 10 20H2). I concede that different people work differently. It's something that requires a lot of thought - it's not a "turn everything on and hit the button" kind of thing for me. Sometimes, I have to use different processes on different parts of the soundtrack, and none at all on others. It's particularly complicated if it involves de-verb, noise-reduction, de-crackle, de-click, and spectral repair, all of which I use frequently. That's not been my experience, for the simple reason that I have to listen carefully to one stage of processing, then make a decision on what to do next and how hard (or how light) to hit it. And with readier feedback than inside Izotope proper. John Paines wrote:You might be surprised how much real-time work can be achieved with the layered Iozotpe plugins on a fast i7 system. ![]()
